Ongoing monitoring mechanisms are in place to access the program’s impact and effectiveness. They ensure that the program’s staff and children’s caregivers follow policies and meet their respective responsibilities. The Executive Director exercises general supervision over all operations of AFH and takes all necessary steps to achieve our goals.

Evaluation

An outcome based evaluation program is used every year to measure our progress and to ensure that our assistance makes a difference in the lives of underprivileged children. It looks at the impacts/benefits/changes to orphans and impoverished children, as a result of their participation in our program. It examines these changes based on how many children are receiving food, shelter, protection, health care, psychological support, educational training and vocational training.

Accountability

This humanitarian work would not be possible without the generous donations from our donors, members and other supporters. Action for Hope insists on transparency and accountability. Our major donors receive annual reports of the results of our work. These reports show how their donations have been used. We publish a list of our major donors every year.

Every family who has children under their care and receives assistance from us is accountable for the well-being of these children. The children will only remain in families who meet or exceed our standards.
