Health Services Fund

Children cannot thrive if they are not physically healthy. Health Services Fund supports primary health care programs including doctor visits, prescription drugs, immunization, nutrition and dental care.

In Cameroon, infant and child mortality rates are high due to lack of basic health care services and health care facilities. Preventable diseases such as malaria account for more than 40% of all deaths among children. Forty-five thousands children die every year due to malnutrition. Half of the women in Cameroon still deliver outside of healthcare facilities and another half do not visit antenatal clinics.

Health campaign
Our ongoing fundraising supports the building of free community health clinics. Free clinics will give many more orphans and care-givers the access to the basic medical care that they will not otherwise receive. Access to basic health care will significantly reduce the rate of infant and child mortality.

Goal
Our goal is to raise $200,000 for the building of a free clinic in Yaounde, Cameroon. These monies will go towards land, construction material, and basic medical supplies. To reduce the building costs, the construction of the clinic. The construction will be done using community labour and local materials.

Action for Hope welcomes the generous support of hospitals, corporations, private sector organizations and individuals. We accept donations for medical supplies, medications, videos and texts.
