Housing Fund

In Cameroon some surrogate mothers and orphans under their care live in slums. Action for Hope supports the building of individual family homes that are safe and secure for orphans and theirs care-givers.

It costs about $20,000 to complete the building of each home for 10-15 children. To reduce the operational costs, the various communities hosting the children participate in the construction of houses using community labour and local materials. Housing Campaign
Our goal is to raise $150.000 for the building of five individual houses by the end of 2010. These houses will provide 74 homeless children with a place to live.

Recreational Program
Action for Hope develops recreational activities such as soccer and tennis for children. These sports are a luxury to many orphans and vulnerable children. Sports are to be enjoyed, but they also serve the recreational and physical needs of children. Sometimes, all these benefits are lost because of the inability to buy a soccer ball. Impoverished children often begin to assume adult responsibilities like earning wages, caring for terminally ill relatives, and doing exploitative work, they miss out on the pleasures and developing lessons of childhood.
